  1. Welcome To Chuck’s Chevron

    April 15, 2012 by serrac

One thing that most of the service stations like us that are still around have in common is that we are family owned and operated. Chucks Chevron is a 3rd generation family business and we like to joke that we have been under the same old management since 1939. Chuck Matheson opened the service station back in 1939 near Silver Lake and a few years later moved to Hwy 99 north of our current location to become a Chevron Dealer.

Chucks brother Don joined him in the business after graduating from high school. In 1956 we moved to our current location and opened as a Shell station and were a Shell Dealer for 35 years. Chuck and Don worked together until Chucks death.

Dons son Dennis worked at the station through High School.

Dennis and Candy Matheson bought the family business in 1975. Dennis and Candy still own the station and their sons Dennis Jr. and Jeff are responsible for the day to day operations.

While the years have come and gone and technology has changed how we do our job we still believe that the most important thing is treating our customers right and building relationships that last because we want our kids to work on your kids cars. All of our mechanics are ASE certified, and we have a state-certified emissions specialist on staff. From simple repairs to significant problems, our knowledgeable mechanics are skilled to handle any type of automotive difficulty, foreign or domestic.
